IRACS Rope Access Course
The IRACS Rope Access Course has a total of 3 progressive levels.
Once all training levels are completed, successful participants will become a certified IRACS Rope Access Technician.
Our Rope Access Courses are launching in Q4 2024!

Level 1
Level 1 Rope Access Technicians will be able to perform a specified range of rope access tasks under the supervision of a Level 3 rope access safety supervisor.

Trained in rope access procedures, method statements and associated risk assessments

Responsible for pre-use checks of his/her own rope access equipment

Able to assist in rigging and other operations, under the guidance of a higher grade

Undertake a simple rescue in descent, and assist in rescue operations
Level 2
Level 2 are experienced Rope Access Technicians who are able to perform more complex tasks under the supervision of a Level 3 Rope Access Safety Supervisor.

Demonstrate the skills and knowledge required of Level 1 Rope Access Technicians

Capable of more complex rigging, including re-anchors, deviations and tensioned lines

Undertake rescues from a variety of situations

Assemble and implement hauling systems
Level 3
Level 3 are experienced Rope Access Technicians who can become Rope Access Safety Supervisors.

Demonstrates the skills and knowledge required of Levels 1 and 2

Understands the elements and principles of IRACS's safe system of work

Conversant with relevant work techniques and legislation

Has extensive knowledge of advanced rope access rigging and rescue techniques

Holds an appropriate and current first-aid certificate.
